With Apoteòṡi Marco La Rosa investigates the hidden possibilities of objects created for a constructive and necessary function. The works, made of lead and concrete casting, appear as landmark between material naturalness and reality origin.
The artist has produced two new series of works for this second solo show by A + B. The works arise like mold of building materials: bricks and water pipes. The vacuum is necessary and is managed punctually and hidden technics. Marco La Rosa has investigated the emptiness as the unknown, working with mergers and withdrawals, without paying attention to volumetric proportions or disguising relationships as real data.
Marco La Rosa centers his sculptural practice in the process leading to the production and to the appearance of images and shapes. The artist focuses on the organic nature of materials, he frees them within wrappers and he returns them thanks to the vitality that characterizes them.
